5-6 Jun 2014 Grenoble (France)

Venue

Grenoble is located at the foot of the French Alps and is easily accessible by train or by car.

MEETING LOCATION

The workshop will be held within the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique (LIPhy), a laboratory of the University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble and CNRS, located on the campus of Saint Martin d'Hères, next to Gières.

ACCESS BY TRAMWAY

The lab is located just near a tram(way) stop: "Gabriel Faure-Campus" stop.

To reach this stop from Grenoble railway station:

take Tram B heading to "Gieres Plaine des Sports", until the tram stop "Gabriel Fauré",
then walk (click for a map) to 140 avenue de la Physique, which is the first building on the left before the tram stop.

There are quick and direct tram connections with Grenoble town center (15 minutes) and the main railway station (25 minutes), where trains but also airport shuttle buses stop.

Depending on the departure place of the visitors, it might be quicker to stop at the trainstation Grenoble - Universités-Gières (one trainstop before/after the main trainstation), then to take the tram B heading to "Grenoble - Cité Internationale", until the tramstop "Gabriel Fauré".

TRAVEL

By train

The railway station is located right in the town center of Grenoble.
Paris is 3 hours away. There are more than 10 trains every day between both cities. Trains also connect Geneva main trainstation to Grenoble.

By car

The campus is accessible by taking the exit 1 ("Domaine Universitaire") on Grenoble's bypass ("rocade sud"), coming on the highway either from Lyon (A43, then A48) or from Chambéry (A41).
